My Story
Hello! My name is Belinda, and I am the owner of Bel's Art Studio. I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about how I began my small, local business.
I have always been a creative. I have always have either created floral arrangements, decorated my home, I even took a floral design class at Del Mar College as a non-credit class! One day in 2017, I stumbled across a YouTube tutorial for creating mosaic jewelry. I’d been looking for a creative outlit to relieve stress. After watching the video, I was hooked! I began doing some research, curated a few supplies and began experimenting and sharing my creations with friends and family. Before I knew it, I applied for my sales tax permit, and I became a female, Latina, locally owned small business owner.
Now five years later, I can say that I’ve sold many pieces to many valuable customers who have supported me through my journey. I love my customers, and there is nothing better than when I hear or see how happy they are to have a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art. My little business has grown by leaps and bonds due to hard work and collaborations with other small, local businesses.
I juggle many hats as most entrepreneurs do. I have a full time job, I'm a full time mom and wife. So, needless to say, Bel's Art Studio is my side hustle but it is my passion and so important to me.
If you aren’t already, I invite you to follow me on on my journey and follow me on social media on Facebook or Instagram @belsartstudio. I post my newest designs, sales, and pop up markets I will participate in.
